Meet Tricia Goron \ Your Tour Expert

Meet Tricia Goron

Tricia was born and raised Charlestonian. She took local history while in 6th-8th grade with Mrs O'Neil and spent her study hall time with Mrs. Virginia Gerety, the author who wrote "Gullah fa oonah" and many other lowcountry favorites.

Tricia grew up in the area you will tour and has been a registered Charleston Historical Guide since she was old enough to give tours, started in 1990.

Tricia worked with the original owners of Olde Towne Carriage Company and learned her craft, how to guide by the very best, Charlestonians. From 1986-1989 Tricia pedaled for Charleston Rickshaw and after Hurricane Hugo worked with Olde Towne Carriage for 16 years.

In 1990 Tricia found a home when she took a position with noted Charleston Historian Anna Taylor Blythe, between the two, hardly a Charleston story was left untold. When Anna retired from the day to day business of group tours, she passed the reigns to her #1 understudy, Tricia...and the rest as they say IS history.

While touring with Tricia, whether it's a nightly tour of Charleston's oldest cemeteries and graveyards or a behind the scenes look at some of Charleston's most historic homes and gardens, you'll get an up close and personal touch of history as she loves Charleston, the history, the people and what makes Charleston one of the oldest historic cities and America's top tour destination year after year.

Tricia has guests returning year after year to get the scoop on what is happening and taking a morning or early afternoon out with one of Charleston's favorite guides in the city which says a lot about her knowledge and expertise as a tour guide and her beautiful historic destination, Charleston.
